Select a layer and control its position
Click a layer on the canvas or select it in Layers. The Design panel exposes its properties, including position, dimensions, rotation and opacity. Drag to move a layer, or use the position fields when exact placement matters.
Forward and Backward change the selected layer's stacking order by one step. Bring to front and Send to back move it to an edge of the stack. These controls do not move you between pages. Their effect is most visible when layers overlap.

Start with a block, then make it specific
Open Blocks and use the collection suited to the document you are editing. A CV may need experience and qualification structures; a social story may need a hook and a sequence; a presentation may need an evidence comparison or a decision framework.
Insert a composition because it helps explain the content, not because it fills an empty area. Replace sample wording and numbers immediately. Each layer remains available for further editing, so you can remove a label, change a colour or rearrange the whole composition.
Keep charts and tables honest and readable
The editor and export checks can detect some layout problems. They do not verify the truth of a dataset or guarantee that a complex design will communicate clearly. Inspect the rendered result as well as the controls.
- Use the same units and time periods when comparing values.
- Select each chart colour in the Design panel; verify the legend still matches the data.
- Choose a table preset for its structure, then replace all example rows.
- Customise header, body, alternate-row and border colours rather than relying on the starting palette.
- When a table no longer fits at a readable size, enlarge it or split its content. Do not hide a warning by shrinking all the text.
Ask for a focused AI edit
State what should change and what must stay. For example: 'Keep the figures and wording; align these three cards and use the brand palette.' Choose the relevant mode and page scope before creating the plan.
An image edition contains text inside its artwork. Direct text editing applies to separate text layers; changing lettering inside an image requires image editing or regeneration.
